Hie everybody,

I am thinking of taking BW certification but how is the learning curve for someone who has no SAP background? I am a Computer Science grad but currently have a non-IT related job. It would be appreciated if someone shares with me the training materials or any study materials so that I can see if i can cope with it when I am doing the certification. I am planning to do SAP BW Certification. But I don’t know which one of the following I have to do.

1) SAP NetWeaver´04 - Business Intelligence (C_TBW45_04)(Certification - Solution Consultant)

2) SAP NetWeaver´04 - Business Intelligence Technology(C_TADMBO_04) (Certification - Technology Consultant)

Or I have to wait for SAP BI Certification, that I heard, would come after November 06, which is for version 7.

At considerable cost to myself, I just recently went and attended the SAP BW Training Academy (5 weeks of intensive training) and will hopefully be sitting the BW Cert exam in the next few weeks.

I have all the training material you need to get certified in BW, along with the SAP software so that you can setup a full training system at home and Study for the exam.

If I were you, I would start-up with http://help.sap.com, this link itself has very good documentation, then go with few books like 'Mastering Business Warehouse' gives you pretty good understanding of theory part. and SAP Press book for Business Warehouse.

Please give a brief intorduction atleast in your profile if you do not want to have it in the post . That will give us a good idea on how to lead you yo the right sources.

There is a lot of documentation and things that we might require are like :

1. Access to a BW system...

2. How long the person has been in SAP - background

3. FUnctional / technical

4. If Fresher - why you want to get into BW ?

Not from a dissauading perspective but from understanding the needs better...

Guys ,

In INDIA - you will have to give a lot of credentials to take the exam in India but it is less stringent overseas but again more exensive.

Also I would not suggest help.sap.com as a resource. It is there only for help when you have a BW system. Also it helps a lot if you have access to an SAP BW system and that too with R/3 access. If this is there then the practical knowledge sets in and helps a lot towards certification.

For BW Certification you have 80 Questions. They are divided as follows for BW 3.0B

24 Questions from BW310 Data Warehousing

24 Questions from BW305 Reporting and Analysis

16 Questions from BW340 Data Staging & BW350 Extraction

8 Questions from BW330 Modelling

4 Questions from BW365 Authorizations

4 Questions from Impelemenationa & Operations Overview.

You need to score 70% for getting certified. Thus BW305 and BW310 make a big contribution towards scoring.

There is no Negative Marking as such. But the questions you get will be very confusing. There are about three type of Questions

A Infoset

B InfoCube

C Multicube.</b>

<u>(All the answers contain radio buttons allowing you to select only one Right answer)</u>

BW certification will not really helps you to get job in india. but in abroad this is true.

for writing cerfication, you will have to work in some company. without that, you can also attend sap training which is very expensive.
