This SAP CodeJam event is on the topic of Getting started with Generative AI Hub on SAP AI Core and Python. You do not need to have any background in the topic, but a lot of curiosity!
In this CodeJam you will learn how to use Generative AI Hub on SAP AI Core to implement a retrieval augmented generation (RAG) use case to improve the responses of large language models (LLMs) and reduce hallucinations. You will learn how to deploy an LLM on SAP AI Core and query it via SAP AI Launchpad and the Python SDK. Furthermore, you will learn about the most important genAI concepts and create and use text chunks and embeddings to improve your RAG response.
This is a free in-person event and is planned for Friday, October 11th in Munich, Germany 🇩🇪 from 10:00 to 16:00 CEST (GMT+02:00). The language of the event and the content will be in English. The instructor is a Developer Advocate Nora von Thenen.

If you go to Garching Research Center (Garching-Forschungszentrum) by subway or buses, you have to walk through the building of the mechanical engineering faculty, You'll see a sign to walk to SAP Labs. Following Google Maps is absolutely not recommended.
From the airport: The best alternative is to go by S1 to Neufahrn, and from there take bus 690/691 towards Garching-Hochbrück to the "Forschungsreaktor" stop. A second option is to go by S8 to Ismaning, and from there take bus 230 towards Garching TU.
I am not sure whether the building is also open on Saturday, 12th of October. Please check it out. https://www.ub.tum.de/en/opening-hours
The building is open on Friday but closed on Saturday. On Saturday the route linked on the sitMUC page makes sense: OpenStreetMap Walking directions from the U-Bahn to SAP.
Hi, is it sufficient to press "Yes" regarding the "Will you be attending" question? Or is there something else to do to sign up?
One issue is that the room provides 20 seats and now already 26 registered. So please keep your registration up-to-date if you can't make it.
Hi @christianpunz and @gregorw that was an error in the description. I just fixed it. It is indeed 20 seats. I am so sorry about that!
Don't worry! We are currently working on increasing the quota and you should all be fine 🙂 I am going to close registration now and add everyone else after this to the waiting list.
I am going to send out a reminder in a couple of days and also ask people that are not available anymore to unregister. I will let you know then 🙂
Unfortunately, there is not but you are welcome to check out our SAP Developer YouTube channel with lots of tutorials and the Devtoberfest going on at the moment!
Quick question. I may have missed it, but what are the tech requirements? I image: bring your own laptop with VS Code installed and SAP AI Core and/or a BTP trial account?
