We have identified an issue with the editing capabilities in the Employee Profile and Workflow Page that needs to be addressed based on the following requirements:
Current Issue:
In the Employee Profile, we are currently able to edit the fields that have already been approved. The desired behavior is:
- Once a field value is approved by the approver, no one should be able to edit the existing information, either in the Employee Profile or on the Workflow Page.
- Only new information should be allowed to be added, and HR Admin should be the only role with permission to edit existing values.
Scenario 1:
- In a specific MDF in the Employee Profile, an employee added new data. Then, on a different date, they added more data again. In this case, the employee is able to edit the previously entered information.
- Desired behavior: Once the previous field is approved, it should automatically become non-editable and should remain in the Employee Profile as read-only, even if new data is added.
Scenario 2:
- After an employee adds a new record in the MDF, it goes for approval. In this case, the approver is able to edit the existing record by clicking on the update button.
- Desired behavior: The approver should only be able to update the new information and should not be able to edit any of the previously approved data.
In the attached screenshot, the colored line is existing information. while adding new data those fields should get non editable.
