Bringing SAP themes to any web app with coding agents

Devtoberfest

How can teams make existing web apps align with SAP’s design language without turning theming into a manual, time-consuming effort? This session introduces the open-source UI Theme Designer plugin for coding agents and shows how it helps developers apply SAP themes more efficiently across different UI technologies, including React, Angular, other frontend frameworks, and of course SAPUI5, particularly when writing CSS for custom component libraries or application-specific styles.
The plugin helps developers identify suitable CSS custom properties from SAP theming content for their CSS classes, reducing guesswork and accelerating the path to SAP-themable applications. By using the UI Theme Designer plugin for coding agents, teams can streamline theming tasks, improve consistency, and reduce the effort required to adapt applications to SAP visual standards.
In this 30-minute session, attendees will learn how the plugin works, where it fits into modern development workflows, and how it can help teams scale theming across diverse frontend stacks. The plugin is available as open source at https://github.com/SAP/ui-theme-designer-plugins-for-coding-agents, and is also available in the Claude Marketplace and Copilot Marketplace.
