SAP IDES Image Disk Size

Hi,

I have installed an SAP IDES system for my home PC. Everything is working fine but the image size is getting larger day by day. I only just created some fi documents but it was 500 GB at the beginning and now it is 750 GB.

What should I do to reduce this image size?

Are there any redundant files that I can delete ?

Thanks...

Hi Saka

You can check the Ides instance DB log, based on the DB clear the transaction log it may reduce the disk space

Hi Saka

Could you share with me your system OS/DB & ides system version details? you can also check the database overall space data & log files using the transaction code dbacockpit.

Hi, IDES runs on a virtual machine in Oracle VM virtual box. And OS is windows server 2012.

DB is Oracle 18.3.0.0.0

IDES version is SAP IDES ECC6 EHP8.

I checked dbacockpit but couldn't come to a solution.

Hi Saka

At the DB level, you can check the transaction log size, with help of the DB admin you can reduce log and check the overall VM size
