Hello Expert,

I have a requirement from a client that i should configure an outbound and inbound email within SAP system. This is detail below

One of the business requirements is to allow sending of invoice via email within SAP to vendor. Also, there are requirements for sending internal notifications, also via email to business users. SAP version is ECC 6.0 EHP 8 with OS Server 2012 R2 and MSSQL 2012 R2 as well. i have done the configuration on the SAP End using "SCOT" T-code But afterwards i did a test but when i went to T-CODE "SOST" to check it will show an error that this message did not go.

Sivakumar below is what i go as the error

No delivery to [email protected], authentication required

Message no. XS856

Diagnosis

The message was processed successfully in the SAP system. The mail server that is to receive the message for further processing requires authentication. Probably there is no logon data specified in the SAPconnect configuration.

Information from external system (if available)

52.97.146.178:25

530 5.7.57 SMTP; Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM [LO2P265CA0361

Procedure

Enter the logon data in the SAPconnect node

Hi

1. In SCOT - SMTP settings - check

if "Supported Address Types" if "internet"is checked.

2. Also, check firewall - settings that block gmail account

Venkat

Hi kannydan,

Check with your OS team if they have a mail server & a mail-filtering server. Generally, the mails outgoing & incoming remains restricted by default for the Server version of Windows OS. Could you trigger a mail with SM02 with option Internet Mail to your personal mail-id, for that you can maintain your official mail id in your User via SU01

Thanks,

Kaushik

Hi

1. In SOST - what is the error code for failed deliveries

2. In SU01 - you update your email address - and then try

3. In SCOT - SMTP - address area - is there any specific or *

4. Try sending test email separately (to that gmail ) - and see if any blocks at O365

Venkat

Hi Kanayochukwu

1. You have to set the TLS authorization while sending outside from SAP, for this you have contace your email administrator.

2. Disable TLS authentication from the mail server side, contact the mail server administrator to discuss the possibility of this.

I saw a similar issue once when the SMTP server required user/password authentication.
