Why we do Kernal Upgrade in SAP ?

SAP Kernel is a collection of the executables & need to be upgraded to the latest compatible version to keep system healthy & take care of bugs/fixes.

This has dependency on OS,DB & App version. so please check PAM as first step to validate.
