Hi guys,
I would like to ask because we have a scale-up database and there are DB alerts that a table is growing significantly.
The recommendation is to partition the table. The question is, is there an improvement to partition a table in a scale-up DB?
Is there any recommendation that you can give regarding this alert?
SAPABAP1.CDPOS has grown significantly.
SAPABAP1.DBERDLB has grown significantly.
SAPABAP1.DBERCHZ3 has grown significantly.
SAPABAP1.DFKKOPK has grown significantly.

Philip,
Yes. there will be improvement considering 2B limit on and distribution load across many nodes being OLAP system makes administartion easier.
as your system is scale-out it makes sense to partition depending on the access type, data, type of query etc., Consult BW team who will be guidance on the right type of partition.
1,3 are common in BW, however they may choose different option depending the business scenario.
Hope this helps.
