Hi guys,
We have ABAP products Netweaver 7.50 and LT replication 2.0 (source system). We want to perform homegenous system copy to downgrade a system which currently is Netweaver 7.52 and LT replication 3.0 (target system).
Basically, we want to mirror our N+1 system (latest components version) from BAU system (old components).
Is this possible via homogenous system copy?

Hi Philip
To my understanding SAP system copy (Homogenous system copy) means, that the version in the source system will be the same as the target system, you can't downgrade, and also will to the mirror options are the same,

Source is in much lower version than target. So it is considered downgrade.

Hi Philip
In this case, you can follow the steps to get the target system one version higher.
1. Do the Homogenous system copy from the source to the target system.
2. In the target system you can perform the SAP software upgrade process.

we do not want to upgrade the target nor the source. We just want to downgrade the target system to align the version with our source system

Hi Philip
I think it is not possible, the way you are asking.

Hello Philip,
Uninstall the existing target system first (which has the newer version).
Then, do the system copy using the "empty" target server.
I do not see why this would not work.

PS: the above is about the system copy procedure itself. You should verify whether the systems connected to your current target system will work on the older product versions.
