Hello Expert,

I am doing 1709 S/4HANA installation but on getting to execution stage it will throw an error message. i need experts in the house to assist me on this issues please. Attached is error message.

there is no specific error shown, neither a log attached.
Please attach the mentioned log files from the screen.

Hi Kanayo,

please do not put them in the root directory and please ensure the files are correct and all media are available. Furthermore please ensure that <SID>adm and root user have permuission to reach the path/directory to access alle the files.
Also ensure that <SID>adm and root user have proper groups (sapinst and sapsys) according to the SWPM guide.

Hello Andreas,

I downloaded a fresh Data files for S/4HANA 1709 from SAP market Place. and copied the download file inside an external storage drive. and unzipped the files with command (unrar x <filename>.exe) and after that i started the installation afresh and on getting to the same stage the same error occur again that export 11 files does not exist.

Andreas you said i should not put them in root directory which directory is the best i should put the file because is root user i used to login with. please let me know the exact directory i should copy the files into before installation. Thanks for your support so far.

put them into the media directory. Have heard there are troubles putting them into root.

Hello Andreas,

It worked what i did was that i moved the data files from root directory to another directory and i initiate a fresh installation and the import is finished successfully so the installation is at executing ABAP program now. Thanks for all your support.
