SAP Build version not the same as tutorials.

Hi everyone. I am a complete newbie just dipping my toe into the SAP Build world. I am trying to add an API to my app and have watched and read countless tutorials on how to do it. The API i am using works as i have tested it on "POSTMAN" with no issues. The problem i have is that my interface does not correspond to the one in the tutorials. I click the "Data" tab, all good. I click on "Create Data Entity" but, the option i get is "Universal REST api Integration", and not" REST Api Integration" as shown in all the tutorials i have seen/read. The input fields it provides do not correspond to the tutorials either and only allow a base URL. I am on the community edition. when i first started using it, all the fields complemented the training, but it then suddenly changed and now only have the "universal "option. Have i inadvertently changed something or does the community addition have restricted functionality? any help/advice or guidance would be gratefully received to help me move forward. Thanks very much in advance

Hi @Nic1524 ,

Thanks for posting and sorry to hear about the trouble here. It sounds like @dylanalz may be having a similar issue...

Nic, can you post a link or title to the specific tutorial that you are referring to?

@Dan_Wroblewski @TusharTrivedi12  @Yogananda  - Maybe you can comment here?

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing the same issue. It concerns the following tutorial: https://learning.sap.com/learning-journeys/compose-and-automate-with-sap-build-the-no-code-way/creat...

In the step "Creating a First Application With SAP Build Apps," the tutorial asks, as mentioned above, to select "API direct integration." However, this option is no longer available.

Has there possibly been an update since the tutorial was published?

Thanks everyone for writing about this issue and change. I am also working to understand what is the plan for REST APIs -- the (not really) new universal REST API interface of the old one as it appears in the tutorial. As soon as I find out if they will revert this back or keep it I will let you know. I am aware that the new REST API interface does no let me create what used to be called "URL placeholders" or custom fields and then add a value in the Test tab.

Long story short, I will check what is happening and update the tutorials as needed.

I would also give you the current instructions here but I think there is a bug that prevents seeing the ID field in the Get record flow function. I will get back o this thread ASAP.

I have updated the basic barcode scanner tutorial, https://developers.sap.com/mission.appgyver-low-code.html, and the tutorials that use OData should be OK, like the Social Media tutorial: https://developers.sap.com/mission.sap-build-apps-social-media.html

I do not know who manages the learning content you linked to

I have alerted the learning journey people. @Nic1524 were you referring to the learning journey or to some other tutorial?
