I'm a CPA, and before I ever thought about configuration, I was the finance user living inside other people's system decisions. In past roles, I worked in Yardi across a residential portfolio, and later managed financial operations within a core banking system with reporting layers built on top.I know exactly what it feels like when a system change you need takes longer than it should, or when the report you're after means asking someone else and waiting. That's the seat most associate consultants have never sat in.Now, I'm training in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO), learning to configure the very systems I've spent my career depending on. And I'm not just learning the finance side. I'm learning how AI is reshaping enterprise work through tools like SAP Joule, where AI assistants and agents handle the structured, repeatable tasks across finance, sales, and fulfillment, so people can focus on the judgment calls that actually need a human.That's the part that excites me most. As someone who's done the manual handoffs and waited on the reports, I can see exactly where this kind of automation changes the day-to-day for finance teams.My goal is to become the kind of SAP Finance consultant who understands both sides: the accounting reality behind every transaction, and the intelligent systems that are starting to run alongside it.
