Error in creation material master MM01

Hi Experts,

I created a material master by MM01 and the material XXXX was created successfully message was also displayed. The material is created but not updated in any material master table such as MARA, MARD etc. and no record of that material in that plant and location. After successfully creation of material  error " Express document update was cancelled recieved from the author XXXXX" was poped up. Then I created the material with basic tabs only and extended the material to all views one by one and I found thta the error is due to some configration mismatching in Accounting1 view. Even though my material ledger is active but unabale to save the material due to Accounting1 view. Please guide me to solve the issues.

Hello @Saurabh_2804 

The express message "Express document update was cancelled received from the author XXXXX" means that the update task failed. You can get the details of the failed update task in SM13. Typically update tasks fail with short dumps that can be analyzed in ST22. 

You need to verify the details in SM13 and ST22 to see what the root cause is. Please share those details so I can help more.

Thank you for the response. There is no short dump match in ST22 but in SM13 "error in CKMS_POST_PERIOD_DELTA" is reflecting. Please guide me how to resolve this.

Updates requests pending on transaction SM13 - How to check what happened with those pending updates? 

• Which exact error was raised by FM CKMS_POST_PERIOD_DELTA, from SM13 : duplicates, lock, invalid values, etc.
  (you can display received parameters' values)

Have you Abap authoriztion, else ask an Abaper to exexute SM13 and navigate to the source code.

There is also an icon on previous dynpro to display data received by the FM and so perform some analysis.

Look at the received data for wrong values (in debug double-click on the it_marc... internal tables)

Please check the number range of your material type configuration, the most common cause is due to someone interfere with number ranges its getting created with existing material and resulting no update in the tables.
