SE03

Transport Organizer Tools (change package/dev class etc..)

SE09

Workbench organiser

Transport

Use

To transport the elements that you create and edit in the planning environment from the Customizing system into a production system, you must specify the objects to be transported (for example, planning areas and planning levels) and add a Customizing request. The objects collected in this request are transported into the target system as soon as you release the request.

Workbench Request

In layman term configuration done by the functional consultant in SPRO generally generates customisation request, whereas changes done by ABAPer like program change, creating report etc generates workbench request.

Pavan

Hi,

SE09 is the workbench transport requests transaction - here the developers can track changes to all ABAP workbench objects (dictionary, reports, module pools, etc). This is a developer-specific transaction and mostly all developers have access to this transaction.

SE10 is the customizing request display transaction - this displays all the customizing requests in the system. Again, this could be restricted to Business analysts if required, since they would be doing most of the customizing changes in the system.

Hi,

WORKBENCH REQUEST Is a TYPE of Transport reuqest.

Transport reuqest's are used to transport objects from one system to another system.

There are mainly two types of transport requests.

Workbench requests

Workbench requests record changes made to ABAP Workbench objects.

There are local and transportable Workbench requests. (Local Workbench requests have the target system <space>.)

The package of the object and the transport route settings in the Transport Management System determine whether changes are recorded in a local or a transportable Workbench request.

Customizing requests

Changes to Customizing settings are recorded in Customizing requests.

When you release the requests, the current status of the recorded settings is exported, and can then be imported into the consolidation system and, if necessary, into subsequent delivery systems.

The client settings determine whether

changes to the Customizing settings are possible

the changes are recorded

When you create Customizing requests, the transport target is automatically assigned the standard transport layer by the SAP system.

Sesh

Hi

transport rquest can be divided to workbench request & customising request.

Workbench request: This kind of request is created for transporting reports, tables, forms and kind of ABAP stuff. Its client independent

Customising request : This is created for transporting the settings (usually the functional guys do this). Its client dependent

Hi,

Transport objects are objects which are used to track / define chnages. Each transport object will be associated with list of objects that have the data / code /config chnaged. There are two types of Transport Request.

1. Workbench Request - Transport objects that track changes to all ABAP workbench objects (data dictionary, reports, includes, userexits, module pools, etc).

2. Customizing Request - Transport objects that track changes to Business process settings (Functional analysts will be defining the business config and they would be creating most of the customizing changes in the system).

The SE09 transaction can be used to access Workbench request. SE10 can be used to access Workbench as well as customising request.

Hope this helps. Reward points if helpful.
