Text not getting fully displayed in pdf in smartforms

Hi folks,

I have an issue in smartforms.

In production  iw23 tcode in summary long text window the contents are there but in pdf last 5 lines are not displaying. Refer the below image

Half the details are missing why?

So I replicated  a scenario in QA and was testing,  in debugging in function module ssfrt_read_include_text has the values,

but i am not getting it in print preview in QA..

Can anyone tell me why this is happening? First time working in smartforms so plz guide me with correct analysis.

Hi,

Open smart form in edit mode (T-code: SMARTFORMS) and press F9 or go to form painter. There you can see the windows layout. Select the appropriate window and re-size it, just like you re-size your windows on your desktop or laptop by dragging.

Hi Folks,

Thanks for all of your valuable suggestions, but what i came to find it.........

  when i checked the settings for the corresponding text, i found out that the lines were restricted to 5. Because  of that only it was displaying me for me when it need to display me 10 lines of text.

See the screenshot.

So if i increase the number of lines to 10 , there are little chances of it.

Any input on this is appreciated.

Hi Sonakshi,

This happens just becuase of smaller size of ur window in which u r displaying ur output.

So if ur windos size is small then whatever the contents wiil fit into the windows will be dsiplayed and rest will be discarded.

To increase the size of the windows go to ur smartforms

then click

after clicking form painter u will get the below screen

so place ur cursor at the bold black point and reszie ur windows size up down left and right according to ur requirements

Hi Syed,

When I tried to increase the window size it throwed me an execption without even going to print preview screen.

see the below error which i got during debugging.

Another point that I want to say is that inside a template only my contents are coming...should i change the template size?

The issue seems to be simple, but i am stuck somewhere....plz help me out friends

Its solved. The issue was with the window size. Its a hell thing finally got it correctly.
