Hi

we use to download a PDF of PO from a smart form that sends to vendors.

We have not done any change in smart form, also no change at printer side and no upgrade to Acrobat side, still the size of PDF file has been suddenly increase from KB's to MB's.

Please suggest what could be the possible reason for this?

regards.

Hi ,

Found the reason.

Changes were done for program RSTXPDF3 - FLATE_COMPR_OFF, which increases the file size.

Thanks for your inputs.

Navdeep

Check specially for the LOGOs as Stefan has already mentioned. Remember there is a hugh difference in size between .jpg / and .bmp file.( More ).

Is it not possible that somebody has uploaded the same logo again in the system? or maybe you are using a new logo that gets printed based on condition.

Also check if somebody has added any background pic ( Waterrmark ) to your form.

Additionally to what others has said I'd look if your company didn't start to embed fonts into PDF, then it's size could grow from 40 KB to 1MB for example. There are some settings for that but can't remember where 🙂
