Hi,
I want to modify the flow logic of a screen in a SAP module pool program. How do we disable modification assistant when doing this ?

First, unless you an OSS Note or clear requirements with a complete understanding of the impacts of the modifications, you should never modify SAP standard objects. If you do not have an OSS note, SAP will not support the the application that has been modified.
If you do have an OSS note or still need a modification, you should always leave the modification assistant turned on. It provides greater visibility to the modifications you have in your system, and makes it easier to re-apply the modifications when support packages are applied that overwrite your modification.

From the Menu:
Edit>Modification Operations>Switch Off Assistant

Hi Aaron,
Thank you very much for your answer. when i tried to do this, this message came up..
By disabling the Modification Assistant for Screen MP000600 2010, you
are given the die opportunity to execute some of the tool functions that
were only meant to be seldom used. When you disable the Assistant, none
of its support functions can be used. This means:
o That the modification overview shows that changes have been made but
does not display any details.
o That no support is offered to the user during adjustment after an
upgrade. These changes must be made manually using version
management.
Does this mean that once i switch off the assistant, i will not be able to switch it back on or changes during future support packs/upgrade will not take effect ?
Regards
Arun.

Hi Arun,
You can switch it ON back but there will be consistency issue as you made some changes by making it OFF. It is not a good way to make changes with Modification assistant switched off.
