scenario.

The data contents of the Routing and Carrier Instruction Transaction Set (853) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. This transaction set provides the sender with the capability to transmit detailed routing and carrier information pertinent to a route. This transaction set only provides routing information and does not convey information about a shipping event or provide shipping authorization.

The logical message is SHPMNT or SHPADV.
