[Intro] Well, a developer in his houseboat, innovating cutting-edge tech from the high seas. He could have kept his anchors away, but he didn't.

[DJ] So while the crew were at lunch we've snuck into the studios to record this item on the couch. So we're at TechEd as we can see here I've got some a card here and one of the items announced at TechEd as you may know is that there are new capabilities that have been added and will be added to SAP Build the complete solution for building end-to-end extensions on SAP S/4 HANA Cloud and on other line of business applications. There are three here written down that I want to highlight.

There's a new extension wizard and it allows you to jump directly from SAP S/4 HANA Cloud public edition straight to SAP Build. Why is that important? Because there's a lot of context within the context of the application and that context objects events and so on business data is super important not to lose that so this new extension wizard which is available for building side-by-side and on stack extensions allows that jump including the context there are new generative AI capabilities with dual coming in this quarter for example alongside the already existing code generation facilities, there are or there will be code explanation facilities and also document search. I think they're great complements to what already exists.

On the low code arena, there are also dual enhancements to help with the creation of UIs and workflow automation.

And last but not least, there's now direct access or there will be, by the end of this year, direct access from SAP Build to ABAP development environments in the cloud and on BTP. So basically the whole idea is that this is one step closer to a more unified development environment. You can jump from the lobby to SAP Build Code, SAP Build Apps and now to specific ABAP development environments and this helps enormously with success for teams especially in fusion development contexts. Anyway check out the announcements from SAP TechEd for more details on these new SAP build capabilities.

[Nora] There's a lot happening with AI at TechEd at the moment and you've heard a lot of news and I'm just going to try to put as much as possible into the next couple of minutes. So there has been a lot of rumor on the SAP Foundation model for a while now and it's getting real and if you want to know more about the SAP Foundation model you should definitely check out the session AI 102 on Wednesday. SAP Foundation Model and Knowledge Graph, where you can learn about the SAP Foundation Model and how it can actually interpret structured data and fill in missing data points. Then we also have a lot of new features in the Generative AI Hub on SAP AI Core. Mainly we have new models coming up, so we will have the IBM Granite model series. We will also have the Dali 3 model and the Amazon Titan image generator model. Those will all be available until the end of 2024. We also have other new features of Generative AI Hub, for example, the orchestration capability, including prompt templates and data masking. And then we also have some new features with Joule and Kevin is going to tell you more about that.

[Kevin] SAP is going to expand and elevate Joule's capabilities to drive business innovation by providing SAP Joule Studio to create custom skills for Joule, but it also will integrate Joule with SAP HANA Cloud to help you generate code for SAP HANA Cloud and help you work easier with SAP HANA Cloud as well. The SAP Cloud SDK for AI was available for Python already, but now we got that for Java, JavaScript, and ABAP, helping you to integrate the capabilities of SAP Generative AI Hub of SAP AI Core directly into your business enterprise applications.
