Hi

Basing on client requirement we will decide whether we have to create ztable or to use existing table fields. If the client requires the fields which are not there in the existing table then we will create the ztable.

Reward points if useful.

Thanks & Regards,

SAP Dictionary Tables contains various types of records . These tables are provided by SAP itself. But If Customer wants to store any additional information that was not available in SAP Dictionary Tables , then we create ZTABLES.

We can make Ztables using se11 .

See Vijay , there can be many reasons for creating a table .

Ztables we create in ALV so that we can directly use it for fetching values .

We can create z tables if the client wants that some data needs to be stored in the system and can be used afterwards if required. For eq if we want to see how much is claimed by which employee , we will put the data in a ztable and can fetch the value in other report to see that.

We can use Ztable for match code if we want to make a match code for a certain table .

So you can see that there are many reeasons for creating it .If you have specific question about creating it , then plz ask

Hi,

The creation of Ztable depends on client requirement.

If the client feels that standard sap tables dont have required fields or too many fields than required , then a Ztable needs to be created.

Reward if useful

Hi frend,

Generally we create ztables as per customer requirement when we have tables having no common field and it is not possible to interrelate them so we take the particular fields and put them together in one table.

I hope it may clear ur doubt.

Hi,

In real time environment some times we need to create ZTABLES, Even though SAP provides standard tables, may be some times they are not suitable for client requirement. At that moment we will go for ZTABLES.

For this they will give all the details like Development Class,

Fileds, Data types and length etc., What ever the required things you have , They will provide in Specification.

Mean while if you have any query on that which is not mentioned in spec. You put in your query sheet and send it across to the client. He will answer your questions. After that you will start your development.

If the answer is useful , award points.
