Write new user exit ?

Hi,

In the transaction GCS1 we have

ECMCT RCOMP Company =14

.........

Here we want to add new table with the same structure as ECMCT and use a user exit Unn to write our own code for retrieving data for ex: ZECMCT ..... And we want to add a new line like

ZECMCT RCOMP Company = U81 ..

SO here How we can create our own user exit in this case, supposing that we do not change the SAP standard program SAPLGUMD and create new EXIT_SAPLGUMD_081 in the enhancement GLX_MD01 ....

Thanks

GCS1 is maintenance view for table V_T800D.

You can directly maintain entries here. I will prefer to consult with FI Consultant before doing that.

Here is a link which explains this in details (Original one is not in english, this one is translated.)

Exits are basically the hooks whcih SAP has provided to add your own code. There are two types of Exits:

1. Customer exits: Implemented as Function Modules within z includes. Anybody can change it and no access key is required.

2. User Exit: Implemented as subroutines within includes (any include except y or z includes). You need access for the specific include and then you can any subroutine (user exit) within that Include.

BADIs are the enhanced version of user exits where the same logic is implemented via classes and object (OOP)

Enchancement point is the latest once introduces with ECC6.0 . Not very sure about that but you can change it without any access key.

Please go through the following link which will help you understand the exits in a much better way:
