Workflows : Downloading

Hi,

Well, I downloaded the Workflow Template into an XML file.

And I tried to upload this into a different server. But there is some error.

Am I doing it in correct way?

I just want to know if we download the WF Template, does it download the Standard tasks and related Business methods with this downloaded XML File?

Or Should we have any option of downloading each Business Object and other Standarad steps individually.

Please let me know the required information for downloading the complete Workflow(TemplateStandard TasksBusines Objects).

Regards,

Raja Sekhar

Hi,

As far as I know the Download to XML only copies the WF template definition. That means the tasks and underlying methods must be made available in the target system. I tried this sometime ago in my 6.20 system and I could not even upload the XML file successfully.

One way to do this is to put all the objects in to a change request and import them in the target system - This is possible and what I had done. Talk to your Basis team. Before you do that please make sure none of the BOs, Tasks and WF with the same numbers exist in the target system because they will be overwritten unless that is what you want.

Once that is done you may want to adjust the number ranges for WF in workflow customization.
