Hi,

using work flow to manage and monitor business process that allows flow of work between individuals or departments to be defined and tracked and maintains the range of business tasks and electronicaly route the information to agents.

how to notify users of pending work and managers can observe status and route approvals through the system

Hi,

I think you can set the deadline mointoring for the Latest start date and can send a notify to the users. Alternatively you can run the std report program to send the workitem to the outlook to notify the user of the pending work item
