GIVE ME SOME BASIC CONCEPTS ABOUT SAP ECC VERSION.

I AM NEW. I WANT TO KNOW DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PREVIOUS

VERSION AND NEW VERSION.

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS :

  • SAP NOTES.

  • SUPPORT PACKAGES.

  • NEW VERSION.

  • RESET TO ORIGINAL.

  • ADAPT MODIFICATIONS.

  • UPGRADE.

  • TCODE : SPDD.

  • TCODE : SPAU.

WHAT WILL BE MY PART AS AN ABAPER IN UPGRADE PROJECT

Sap notes and support packages are given by sap for any additions to standard code.

when u are goin for upgradation u need to do 3 things.

1. TXN: SPAU : Here u need to identify the customer changes done to the standard objects in the old version and u need to incorporate in the new version, if u do it in such a way it is called as adopted customer modifications, other wise if u feel that it is not necessary it is reset to original.

2. Txn SPDD: same as above.

3. For Z objects: u need to resolved EPC

hi,

ECC stands for SAP ERP Central Component

This is also a version of SAP like 3.1H, 4.0, 4.6C

ECC 6.0 is latest version of SAP.
