What function module or BAPI do I use?

Hi,

I am looking for a Function Module or a BAPI which will check if the given field value is there in the F4 value list of that field and if it is not there then it will round it to the next higher value of that field vaue. In my Case the field is a characteristic value field.

Please help me out.

Hi,

Check FM 'ASS_CHECK_CHARACTERISTICS_F4' this might address your issue regarding the characteristics.
