BAPIs are Business Application Procedure Interface. If you have already worked with some programming language, you must have heard about APIs. BAPI is a similar thing and provides SAP functionality to other applications...viz... Webpages...and you can call them as RFCs modules...

Yeah you have to write code for BAPi too if it is required but most of the BAPIs are provided within SAP itself and you just have to modify the code...

To see list of BAPIs goto se37 and enter *BAPI* and presss F4...U will get the lsit of BAPIs for different purposes
