we cant acheive each and every requirement/need as per the business from SAP provided pre-defined programs/functionality.

Hello.

That's a good question! If SAP gives us standard reports, why do we need to develop customer reports? Someone says that if you create a custom one everytime users ask for a new one, they tend to get laisy and ask everytime appears a simple difference between what they get and what they need! Probably 30% (or more) of the new reports are rarely used!

However, in the other hand, sometimes the standards don't fullfill all requirements. Remember SAP is a global software, that should be adapted for it's single implementation. Every case is a new case. And in those cases we must develop new reports ... that for sure!

At the end, I would answer like this: why? to give as a job!
