What does the following mean :
view related data declarations
But I do not find any changes in the program.
Also, this was found under the changes request.
Not able to decide whether to retain or discard the changes. Please help me out.

The exact problem is something like this.
Change request
--> Task (Function Group)
--> Object (Function Group name)
when i searched in the function group , each program had the following message
generated viewmaintenance function pool top
generation date: 26.08.2005 at 05:29:56 by user ABC
But the program in Quality is same as that in DEV , only the generation date is different.
The person who made the changes is not available.
So I wanted to know what this generation view maintenence means . Also whether i can discard it without affecting the program.

Hi Amit,
i think that transport request pertains to the Miantenance view of some table...like for a table, if u goto>utilities>table maintenance generator-->here u need to mention the function group..so this function group stores the functionality n the attributes of the View that is created for that table...

Thanks Bikash.
Can you tell me why this is maintained. I mean we need to mention a function group to a table .
Also, What happens if this is not transported to Quality and production .
And in utilities -> table maintainence->Technical Dialog details -> authorisation . What does 'authorisation' mean ?
