Version management for smartforms

Hi every body...i have two doubts....primarily...how can i do version management in smartforms 4.6c version.....i have changed teh activated form and again activated it....how can i get the previous version of form....

second thing is.....is there any option to download or copy a smartform in SAP 4.6c version.....

You can access version management from the following:

Object Navigator (SE80)

Transport Organizer (SE09)

Display and maintenance transactions for Repository objects.

To download smartforms:

1. Go to utilities

2. download forms

3. give the local folder path to download

It will be downloaded to your local server.

Hi

From the Main Initial screen (SMARTFORMS) from the Menu you can copy

SMARTFORMS-> COPY

UTILITIES -> DOWNLOAD

Go to SE09, find the request no in which smartform is there.

Select that smartform Object

from menu

OBJECT-> VERSIONS

displays the 2 to 3 lines

Select the lines Press DISPLAY

displays all version.

Hi,

You can do it with basis help . This is true for any object not having version management. Changes are always recorded in transports .

Find one of your old transports in SE03 . ( Find Objects for request ) . Object will be R3TR SSFO <SF_NAME>.

Ask your basis guy to force import it , it will overwrite the current version . Or just copy existing Samrtform to a new name ( delete the current one ) and then ask basis to retrieve the old transport .

There is no version management for smartform.

Once the from is activated/saved we can never retrieve the previous version.

The only way out is to download the from into xml format from the subsequent servers ( Prod or pre-prod ) and upload it into development server.

So, its always better to download the from into xml and saved it after/before making significant changes.
