variant for report

I am trying to save a variant for my report selection screen. but on saving, some fields are getting cleared. these fields remain blank when i select the saved variant.

any ideas what could be causing this?

Hi!

When you are saving the variants, the fields can be filled using some logic in the variant.

During the saving, there are a lot of checkboxes grouped into 6 or 7 colomns.

I think some of these checkboxes are set, and they can overwrite the values in the fields.

Or the variant was saved, when the relevant fields were empty during saving.

Try to save the variant again, fill in the values and overwrite the old one.

I tried saving a variant for one of my z programs ..with none of the check boxes selected and making any changes other than entering the name and meaning ..all of my values are getting saved and coming up when variant is called.

See if you are doing any thing different?

Hi,

If you have any code in the INITILIZATION Event, then that will be triggered when you save the records in the selection screen. so look at the code, and do not clear the values in the PBO Events of the report
