VA51 function exits

Hi

I had a requriment like in VA51 in need to get the materail in alpha numerical form .I am not sure how to do that as well i got a small Doubt , can i do it in server why bcoz in our company only clients are there .There is no testing server.

I had a basic knowledge on that .even i have done text change and all but long back

Hi Sravya,

Generally the material number will be decided whether it should be numeric or alpha numberic based on the material type (MTART). This configuration will be done by the MM consultants. You try to check with MM consultant.

I think, the field is a alphanumberic field. Not sure what you are asking for?

It is a material number..... and the field is alphanumeric and the value is based on material number... .
