I'm trying to understand the authorization values field in USR12.
I can identify the field names that the authorization object is refering to, but am unsure what the other values are?
e.g.
M F0045C02ACTVT V02B06E09E23E43V60B61E65E78F0038C04TTYPE ECUSTEDTRAEMOVEETRAN
The field names are "ACTVT " and "TTYPE "
TIA

MANDT-Client
OBJCT-Auth. object
AUTH-Authorization
AKTPS-Version
MODDA-Modification date
MODTI-Modification time
MODBE-Changed by
TYP-Type
LNG-Length of value string in bytes
VALS-Authorization values
ATEXT-Text

you are looking at UST12.
S_TRANSPRT object
ACTVT is maintained with 02,06,09,23,43,60,61,65,78
TTYPE is maintained with CUST,DTRA,MOVE,TRAN.
V-- shows Lower limit(VON field in the table)
B--shows up if range is maintained(BIS field in the table
and E acts as a Seperator I guess.

Thanks - that is useful.
So if a range is specified in UST12 - what exactly does this mean? Looking at UST12 for S_TRANSPRT I have an entry for ACTVT with a VON of 03 and a BIS of 42.
Does this mean any authorisation value >= 03 and <=42?

When creating a role, for some objects, for ACTVT field you will see a 'from' 'to'
option popping up when you try to assign activities.
You have an option to maintain limits. This differs from version to version.
If you are giving a range,
whatever values come in that range and are permitted will be assigned
If you are giving 'from' 03 'to' 42 for ACTVT field under S_TRANSPRT object.
user will get 03,05,06,23 activities as these are the permitted activities for the ACTVT field under S_TRANSPRT
object.
