As we know for a program we can have only one active version that can be edited by any development user in the server (If Edit Lock is not ON).
Now my question is, does SAP support user specific versions so that more than one version for the same program can be edited at the same time by different users?
Thanks,

No its not possible.
Check the lock concept SAP Lock Concept (SAP Library - The SAP Lock Concept (BC-CST-EQ))

Hi Farid,
I had a look at the "SAP Lock Concepts" link provided by you. But I was not able to find the lock on SAP program when it is being Edited.
Can you plz tell me how/where can I find the lock on SAP program? Thanks in advance.

I don't think user specfic version management avaliable in SAP. you can create versions and can create user specific versions with different program names
Thanks

Hi Bhavya,
In eclipse environment one version for the same program can be edited at the same time by different user.,but no user specific version management.

Hi Sree,
Version management is not an issue.
But, when I tried to open the same program in different tabs of Eclipse, it always takes me to the same tab in edit mode. Plz let me know if it is still possible somehow.
