What does the func. module NAST_PROTOCOL_UPDATE do?

I have watched it so many standard programs.

NAST_PROTOCOL_UPDATE

A table of all collected messages hands over. the message at the screen out. The message can be set referring to an object (see CM_F_SET_OBJECT). Further an allocation to an area of responsibility can be made, as a function of it can in the functional module CM_F_MESSAGE by means of an import parameter of the message an area of responsibility specification (Einkäufergr ., Arbeitsplanergr., laboratory/design engineering department, group of capacity planners or cost centre) be assigned by the table TCMF1. With employment of the message control these areas of responsibility are in particular necessary for the identification of the MAIL partner.
