URGENT Transport Request

Former Member

Hi all.

i am trying to change the package of program (GT****) which is in $TMP package.

I want to change it to my own package (Z***) .

When i right click -> other function -> change package assigment it says

" To change the package in the Transport Organizer Tools, choose Object Directory -> Change object directory entries of objects."

when i goto transport organiser and change it says:

SAP object PROG GP32143243 cannot be assigned to package Zldf_object

Assign the object to an SAP package whose name begins with A-S or U-X.

If you want to create the object as a test object, you can also assign it to a local package (1st character = $) or a test package (1st character = T).

PLEASE HELP URGENTLY.

Programme starting with Z or Y are specific, others are programs developp by SAP.

You must assign specific program to a Z* package or a $TMP package.

You must assign standard program to a A* -> Y* package.

For your problem, copy the G* program to a ZG* program and you will be able to assign to a Z* package and to modify the source code.

Program GT* is in the standard sap naming range and can therefor not be assigned to a Z-package.

Can't you copy the program to ZT* ?

hi AMC,

programs start with G... in SAP are generated programs (queries, report painter, report writer programs, etc.). Do you have any idea how was it generated? You have to transport the object (for example the ABAP query), from it was generated, and it will be regenerated in the import system. That is the way to do.

hope this helps

IF it is a standard SAP program ,you can not change the package,

As you said it is stored in $TMP, please open the program in change mode in SE38 go to --> Object Directory Entry from the menu options and you will have a pop-up to store it to a new transport request and new package.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

khader.
