Uploading Error

Hi,

We have a Solman dev box that we are about to get rid of. I've downloaded all my Solman roles, but when I try to upload them to our new Solman box, I get the following error message: "The file does not contain any valid data." I can actually duplicate the roles by manually adding all the transactions, objects and field values in the new box, so I don't really get why I'm getting that error. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Hi,

To resolve your Upload issue, do the following:

1. Call PFCG

2. Select Role Tab

3. Select Upload

4. Locate the drive where the Role was downloaded (I.E. SapWorkDir, Desktop My Computer -- C: Drive)

5. After selecting your location, you will receive a screen with three (3) fields:

1 --- Filename

2 --- Files of Type

3 --- Parameter

6. Click on your Role name or populate the Filename field with your Rolename.

Do Not change the Files of Type Field

Click the pull-down Icon in the parameter field and select one of the following UNICODE Parms ....

(DEFAULT--ANSI For unicode systems)

OR

(DEFAULT--UFT8 for unicode systems)

7. Click OPEN in the File name field and the Role will be uploaded.

This should fix your problemPayslip Messages .
