Upload specific Excel sheet into an Internal Table

Hey all,

I have a Excel file with multiple sheets. How can I specify what sheet of the excel file I need in my internal table.

I have been looking at the following Function Modules and neither of them have a place to specify what sheet to upload.

TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP

ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE

I think it is not possible below Function module

The code above does not upload a specific sheet. I kind of figured that the two function modules above would not work.

Other ideas anybody?

Problem solved. Copied FM ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE to a new Z FM. I then added the following lines of code:

  CALL METHOD  OF application    'Workbooks' = workbook.
  m_message.
  CALL METHOD  OF workbook 'Open'    EXPORTING #1 = filename.

      EXPORTING
        #1 = p_shname.
    CALL METHOD OF sheet 'ACTIVATE'.
    FREE OBJECT sheet.

  GET PROPERTY OF  application 'ACTIVESHEET' = worksheet.
  m_message.

I then added <i>p_shname</i> as an Import Parameter and passed the name of the sheet.
