Hi,

I have a doubt in upgrading sap programs from one version to another version. For example if am upgrading the programs from sap r/3 4.6c to Ecc 5.0,how the already existing programs are copied from one version to another version, whether i have to copy the programs, paste it in another version and test it or basis consultant will do the job.

As a devloper i will test the programs to ensure they still work as before and will do the modifications once it is converted to the another version,my doubt is how the already existing programs will be moved from one version to another version in one shot. Please help me...

Regards,

Raj.

Hi,

when you make an upgrade, it's like doing a lot of OSS notes, the SAP program are modify. If you have made modification on standard, SAP ask you if you want to stay in your update version or to set the version updated by SAP.

So, don't be effraied by the upgrade, it's nothing.

For your Z* program, if you don't link to SAP standard program, you just have to check if some functionnal rules have not be modified.

Hi,

You need to use SPAU transaction while upgrading the version to keep the changes done to the standard program in 4.6 c.All the modifications done to the standard programs using access key ,OSS,enhancements are not directly transported to the ECC 5.0 version.it is connected with this new system. If you want to import the changes then you need to do the impact analysis and import the changes into the new system by assigning those objects with transport.

If you have any questions then please let me know.

Thank you.
