can someone tell me what happens to the changes made to reports ,ddic objects and other sap objects or customized objects when aN ENTERPRISE has upgraded to a newer version of SAP?

Hi

The custom objects and customizing won't be changed.

- The standard objects was changed are stored in log you can see by SPAU and SPDD trx:

Here it can decide which action has to be done for those objects.

Hi,

During the Upgrade a process, the Transactions SPAU & SPAM will do the auidt and prompt you if you want to hold onto the changes or 'reset' the code to original.

if you have modified the objects with 'Modification Assitant On' option then your changes will be automatically adjusted.

Other wise you have to adjust them.

All the modified objects will be overwritten during upgrade by SAP standard. In transaction SPDD and SPAU you will get a list of overwritten objects, so you can adjust or reset your modifications.
