Upgrade issue

Hi All,

We are upgrading system from 4.6C to ECC6.

I have a doubt regarding customised Objects.

Does it necessary to use modification assistance to correct ECC and Unicode errors in Customized Objects(All Z* and Y* Programs)?

what is the impact in terms of versions if i open custom object in SE38 and apply changes directly?I will put necessary comments at places where i change the code.

Hi Kiran,

My question is, to change ABAP Customized objects(Say report for example) according to ECC and Unicode standards, do we required to use modification assistance?

I am thinking of modiying the customized objects directly from SE38.

Will it be a good approach?
