Updating data base tables

Hi all,

Iam updating database tables using below statement .

INSERT data_base_table FROM workarea.

This is working but but looking for better method other than this. Ple let me know if u have any.

Use modify statement :

keep the data into internal table ,in last use below method.

modify dbtable from table int_table.

Mass update of all records form an internal table

INSERT data_base_table FROM TABLE internal_table

or

MODIFY data_base_table FROM TABLE internal_table. "If an existing match exists, it will update it, if not, creates a new record.

Hi Siva,

Use ACCEPTING DUPLICATE KEYS addition along with INSERT so that run time error can be avoided, instead system will set the SY-SUBRC value accordingly.

instead of inserting a single record u can insert the whole internal table..

INSERT <dbtable> FROM TABLE itab.

Or u should find out some FM to update the table... because in many cases there are dependencies for the table..
