Hi,

Mostly we have problems with flag not set for Unicode or with obsolete function modules used in programs like WS_DOWNLOAD or WS_UPLOAD. You have to use GUI_DOWNLOAD or GUI_UPLOAD.

Once you set Unicode flag in your programs attributes you may get more errors depending upon what the program is and how is it developed.

UCCHECK will help you to find unicode errors.

It will scan the ABAP progran and

1) It will list obsolte FM if any in the program like upload/download.

2) It will list offset related changes.

3) Open DATA SET statement ( Solution - Encoding Default should be added )

4) Hexadecimal related changes

5) If you are using DESCRIBE statement then ( solution IN IN CHARACTER MODE)

and many more.

Another common error is the OPEN DATASET instruction that need more specification in ECC 6.0

The major change is the substitution of obsolete functions for handling files. WS_UPLOAD --> GUI_UPLOAD , WS_UPLOAD --> GUI_UPLOAD by example.

OPEN DATASET syntax has changed for UNICODE changes
