Trigger on a standard Table

Dear All,

Can I create a trigger for a standard SAP Table (say TCJ1T).

If so, how do I go about it?

Will it involve Basis related activity?

hi Ashwin,

Please tell me how did you raise a trigger on SAP std. table.

Even i am facing the same problem.

Hi Ashwin,

It may not work. I tried creating a trigger on the standard table and ended up with the dump in the standard transaction. As far as database is concerned it did not show any error in the trigger. The coding was correct.

The dump generated in the standard transaction said clearly that it is a security violation.

But still trigger can be created on the standard table. There is a particular method and coding practice for doing so.
