Hi,

When I create a transport request for a table, it is created as a "Local Change request". When I transport the request, I am not able to find the changes done to the table in the Quality (target) system. Can anyone let me know how to tranport this object...??

Thanks.

Regards,

Senthil G.

Hello Senthil

Most likely you have assigned your table to package $TMP, i.e. it is a local table. Local objects cannot be transported.

In order to transport your table you have to do the following steps:

(1) Go to SE80

(2) Right-Click on your table and select from the context menu More Functions -> Change Package Assignment

(3) Assign your table to an existing package (previously called as development class)

The re-assigned table can now be added to a normal workbench request and transported.

Uwe

Uwe, thanks. the object is transportable one. We cannot create a transport request for a local object. I am able to create a transport request. Moreover I can transport the request but not able to view the logs since the obejct is of type "Local Change request".

Kavitha, thanks for the prompt reply. I did all those you mentioned. I transported the object, but still no change appears in the Quality server.

You need to create a transport copy request pass this changes from the local change request into the transport copy request and release it.

go to se10-> create request(it gives you an option whether to create a transport copy or workbench request) select transport copy -> specify decsription and traget group(click on f4 and check for this field) -> once the request is created select the request and click on the 'include objects' icon from the application tool bar -> include objects from request - give your local change request.
