transport request problem

hi all,

my requirement is to do changes in the code that is coded by some third party developer.

after doing the changes when i try to create a request, the request that get created is a local change request-which don't get transported to the production system(i think so..)

when i checked the attributes of the program , the original system field is not the development system of our organisation,but something else...can this could be the reason....if so then how to do the changes in the object directory entry....

If it is Program , Then From Menu Go to ->Object Directory Entry ->

A pop up appears , there Click on Change button and Change the Package .

You can also Do it From SE03, Change Object Directory Entry Option.

when i try to change object directory entry then the field which get highlighted for change is only person responsible and all other fields are disabled..

hi ppl,

still i am not able to change the package .as said earlier is it due to different original system (Original development system is ECD in our organisation and this third party code shows it as TID)...

and when i see the code in change mode a message appears that changes in foreign namespace.

Hi,

please follow below steps.

1) For changing Package

Go to SE80> Give Programe name -> Right Click on Programe name>Select other Functions>Select Change Package Assigment> Give New PAckage name(Development package Name)

2) For transport Change.

Go to SE80> Give Programe name -> Right Click on Programe name>Select other Functions>Select Write Transport Entry>Give Transport Number.

Hi Shailendra,

In Se38

Selct Goto option from Menu options

Click on object directory entry.

Click on Display/Change and give your new package name and save.
