hi

in production, go to fm -> in the source code of the fm -> utilities -> upload/download -> download from production to presentation

create the fm with the same name in the dev. -> get into the source code and just do the reverse of the same....it works only for source code...import/export/changing/tables parameters i think you will need to do it manually

if helpful, reward

Hi there

From my understanding you want to take some function modules from production to dev which means you must be having some version in dev of those funtion modules and you want to retrieve those latest versions in dev. Am i correct?

If so then just goto utilities->version management for those FMs and there retrieve the latest versions existing in prod. for them.

If i am wrong in my understanding above the other possiblity i can think of is that you dont have any versions of those FMs in dev . This rarely is a possibility if the correct path is followed. But if that is your case then i guess you will have to create all those FMs i.e copy the ones existing in prod and create them all in dev as you can't have transport requests generated for them(as mentioned by you)

Please let me know if this solves your purpose

Cheers

hi,

It is possible to transport form production to development but it is a tedious process for basis and no company will do that, better you create same in development.
