Hello,

We're in the process of upgrading to SAP 4.7 and I was wondering if in the new system if we'll be able to replace our SAPScript forms with Smartforms? My initial investigations into 4.7 WM print control seems to indicate that everything is still geared towards SAPScript. Just curious if anyone else has investigated this possibility.

hi chris..

i dont know exactly whether we can upgrade sapscripts directly into smartforms.. but u can migrate

ur sapscripts into smartforms in the same version itself..

Make use of this migration only if u want to make extensive changes to existing sap script smartforms.especially the necessary modification of the date retrieval program can take more time for complex applications. since all the techniques you use (for example extract and loop) must be adapted.

Can you tell me how to configure a Transfer Order Smartform? When I use the IMG menu path to configure the form, it doesn't allow you to enter a Smartform name. (Tran spro>Logistics Execution>Warehouse Man>Storage Unit>Activities-->Define Print Control).

Doesn't SAP allow the use of Smartforms for WM forms?

I want to convert a couple of our WM sapscripts to smartforms for several reasons. 1. we will be implementing a China factory and apparently Smartforms can handle the chinese language better. 2. we don't want to have to maintain two definitions of a printer for printing barcodes. Apparently you can print barcodes on any printer definition using Smartforms.
