Transaction IA12:ABAP runtime errors:TIME_OUT

Hi,

We are executing transaction IA12.We are getting ABAP runtime errors:Time_Out.

We have searched for a SAP note to sort the issue:SAP Note 607086 - Functional location: Problems when displaying structure list.

Please suggest what will be the option to solve the issue.

Check the error log to find out in which structure it has a problem and then check in SE11 if the structure is active or no. It could be some structure provided by SAP for exits which someone must have changed and not activated.

Hi, tis a SAP modification note without any SAP warranty.

It is only an option, if don't find any better ways to solve your problem.

please post the Source Code Extract of your ST22 short dump here, that we can see the program llines where the timeout occurs!

Thanks for your prompt reply.Please find the details for the dump below:

Information on where termination occurred

The termination occurred in the ABAP/4 program "RIIFLO10 " in

"MARA_PREDECESSOR_F50".

The main program was "RIIFLO10 ".

The termination occurred in line 240

of the source code of program "MIHIXF50 " (when calling the editor 2400).

Please suggest if you have faced a similar issue.

maybe sap note

Note 1286688 - Performance improvements for structure lists

can solve this problem.

Please check if this is a matching release and matching support package note! It changes the timeout part of your program!

HI Klaus,

I checked the SAP note suggested by you in the system.

We get the following message:

Implementation status Cannot be implemented.

We are currently on 4.6c system.

Please suggest any other option.

Hi,

searching for the FORM routine where the timeout occurs ("mara_predecessor_f50") and excluding SAP notes that are modification notes or based on the implementation of modification notes, there is only one remaining note

Note 658930 - Structure list: Configuration not considered with BOM

for 46C up to Support Package SAPKH46C46.

If this is still not in your system, the note may be a solution.

If not, I'm running out of good ideas. Then also the SAP modification notes can be your last option.
