Dear

Befor Creating the a transaction for SM30.

Create table maintainance Generator for your table

goto SE11(Change) put your table name.

then Utility --> table maintainance generator.

Provide Authorisation Group If not know put &NC& for W/O Autharisation group.

Provide Function group name.

Provide Maintainance type as one step

then click to find screen Numbers button on top

Then Click on create button.

This will crete the Table maintanace for your Ztable.

Then Use this table name as VIEWNAME for creating the transaction for SM30

Hope this will solve your query

Hi,

You can get lots of threads by searching with keywords "Tcode for Table" in SCN.

And the following thread may solve your problem;

Hi Rajesh,

Follow these steps :

1. go to transaction SE93 , give your own transaction code say ztran, for maintaining your ztable.

2. Click on create button and check the radio button Transaction with parameters (PARAMETER TRANSACTION) and click on the tick button.

3. In the next screen enter default values:

transaction : SM30

check the check box skip initial screen

4. Scroll down you will find a table control for default values

Name of the screen field | value

VIEWNAME -- your ztable name

SHOW -- X

Save your work.

Now as you have created a custom transaction for maintaining your ztable this transaction can be called from any program with CALL transaction 'XXX'.

It will solve your problem fully,.

Regards,

Nikita

yeah.. its done.

actually i was under the impression that you need to be registered for Tech'ed to be part of community day, so dint bother reading the blog by abesh and craig. Moreover work was really hectic, so couldnt spare much time for that. Anyways now Ive registered and will make sure that I would attend the event.

Thanks for the info though, otherwise I would have missed it for sure.

Now Im waiting for the confirmation from SCN. Fingers crossed.
