the Function module 'SSFCOMP_PROCESS_DOCUMENT' takes long time to execute.

i have facing problem that the function module   'SSFCOMP_PROCESS_DOCUMENT' takes long time to execute while i have taken print from VF03 (smartforms) , is there system performance issue or any spool request queue issue.

actually was problem in select query takes long time to execute, just i was analysis this and changing in select query. my suggest you to analysis your code because FM SSFCOMP_PROCESS_DOCUMENT'  consist your code also that's you written, use trace and debug this code.

what is long time?

SAP knows that all adobe interactive forms need far too much time.

Anyway, a runtime analysis should be your first step. Then OSS (SAP Service Portal, search notes), then here.
